AS Ekspress Grupp submitted concentration notification to the Estonian Competition Authority 01.07
Pursuant
to the precept 5.1-5/11-010 by the Estonian Competition Authority on 16 May
2011, AS Ekspress Grupp today submitted concentration notification regarding
acquisition of dominant influence on Eesti Päevalehe AS.
The concentration has already been carried out. The concentration notification to the Estonian Competition Authority was not submitted earlier as it was not a traditional bilateral or multilateral transaction (e.g. merger, share purchase, issue of additional shares etc). AS Ekspress Grupp acquired de facto dominance with the Group’s unilateral decision to finance the activity of Eesti Päevalehe AS in the situation, where the other shareholder did not want to do so.
