Estonian Competition Authority has granted Geenius permission to acquire book-keeping portal RMP.ee

In June, Geenius Meedia signed an agreement to acquire the book-keeping and tax information portal RMP.ee and it has now received an approval from the Estonian Competition Authority to complete the transaction.

The book-keeping and tax information portal RMP.ee has been operating for almost 18 years. The portal has more than 50,000 registered users and more than 25,000 newsletter subscribers. It has an average of 80,000 unique users per month.

The CEO of Geenius Meedia, Siim Saidla said that the addition of RMP.ee to the products of Geenius will increase the volume of information provided to business users and is an important complement to the content of Ärigeenius and DigiPRO.

Together with their team, the current owners of RMP.ee, Karin Ungro and Triin Omel will continue editing RMP.ee as well as providing products and services. Organisation of training events and publishing of a calendar notebook will continue.

Geenius Meedia plans to involve the team of RMP in expanding its training activities to also cover the other topics of Geenius portals.

“The merger of RMP.ee with Geenius Meedia will provide more opportunities for substantive and technical development, and deliver even better and higher quality information to book-keepers and entrepreneurs in the future”, noted Karin Ungro, the co-founder of RMP.ee.

Geenius Meedia is a fast-growing company that builds precisely targeted media channels whose content is fact-based, understandable and useful. We are a noise-free and independent platform for talented authors, valued experts and ideas that make life better through science and technology. From December 2021, the owner of the company is AS Ekspress Grupp, the largest media group in the Baltic States that is listed on the Tallinn Stock Exchange.

The parties have agreed neither to disclose the price nor any other terms of the transaction. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022.
